Ranking by number of A+ categories
According to the results of the evaluation for 2022–2025, the most disciplines with category A+ are held by: Uniwersytet Warszawski (9), Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica w Krakowie (7), Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie (6), Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II (5), Uniwersytet Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu (5), Politechnika Gdańska (4), Akademia Pożarnicza (3), Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki (3).
The number of A+ categories also depends on how many disciplines an entity is assessed in – a large university has more of them than a specialised institute. That is why it is worth looking at what an entity does best, too.
The list is based on the list of categories announced by the ministry on 22 July 2026. Categories are awarded by decisions of the minister, which may still change following requests for reconsideration.
Institutes with category A+
Category A+ is held not only by universities. Among institutes, the most such ratings went to: InLife Instytut Rozrodu Zwierząt i Badań Żywności Polskiej Akademii Nauk (2), Centrum Astronomiczne im. Mikołaja Kopernika Polskiej Akademii Nauk (1), Instytut Agrofizyki im. Bohdana Dobrzańskiego Polskiej Akademii Nauk (1), Instytut Badań Edukacyjnych - Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (1).
